Bailey Recognized as ‘Up & Coming’ Lawyer by Missouri Lawyers Weekly
Graves Garrett is pleased to announce that firm counsel Miriam Bailey was included among the 2015 class of Up & Coming Lawyers by Missouri Lawyers Weekly. Bailey was recognized for her work within the practice areas of litigation and appeals.
As reported by Missouri Lawyers Weekly, Bailey’s most notable accomplishments include her work on behalf of a Bitcoin mining equipment client in which she contributed to the company’s successful defense against a preliminary injunction by the Federal Trade Commission. In addition, her experience includes successfully defending a national restaurant chain in a commercial lease dispute and serving as the solo chair on a bench trial, which she won as well.
Outside of the office, Bailey has dedicated herself to a number of philanthropic causes including Legal Aid of Western Missouri, where she was successful in helping a woman gain guardianship of a child that had been in her care since infancy. Bailey is also involved with Operation Breakthrough, where she serves as an advisory board member, and Special Neighbors, Inc., where she is on the board of directors and a member of the board’s governance committee.
