Graves tapped for investigation into state agency
Todd Graves has been selected by the Missouri House of Representatives to serve as special counsel to the state’s Bipartisan Investigative Committee on Privacy Protection, which is investigating a Department of Revenue data scanning controversy in which the state released conceal and carry permit holder information to the federal government.
Graves was named special counsel to serve as legal advisor to the committee.
“This deals with a constitutional issue that is not frequently looked at in this way,” Graves told KMBC’s Michael Mahoney.
Graves Garrett was selected for this role based on its experience in a number of other high-profile investigations in recent years, the Kansas City Business Journal reported, including “half a dozen deep-dive internal investigations” for corporate clients.
