Nathan Garrett Recognized as a “Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Trailblazer”
Graves Garrett is pleased to announce that Partner Nathan Garrett has been recognized as a 2015 Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Trailblazer by The National Law Journal for his contribution to “the fight against criminal cyber activity.”
As reported by The National Law Journal, Garrett, a former federal prosecutor and FBI Special Agent, also served as Chief of the National Security and Terrorism Section in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Missouri. Having worked on a wide range of federal crimes, including cyber fraud, Garrett has been featured as a speaker and writer on a variety of cyber security and data breach topics, including a keynote presentation at Kansas State University’s inaugural Ingenuity Central and articles on cyber-related issues with Bank Director magazine and Legal Tech News.
Garrett focuses his practice on defending companies and individuals dealing with government enforcement and complex commercial litigation, but also assists in preparing for and dealing with data breaches and the associated legal implications. In addition to his recognition by The National Law Journal, Garrett has been named to KC Magazine’s Top 100 List and the Kansas City Business Journal’s “Best of the Bar,” and has been recognized with the Department of Justice’s Distinguished Service Award, by Best Lawyers in America, and by Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers.
