The Wall Street Journal features Graves’ involvement with American Royal
Todd Graves was recently featured in a video by The Wall Street Journal for his involvement in organizing the only contest in America to recognize the nation’s best steak – the American Royal’s 2013 Grapes & Steaks Competition. The story, “How Do You Judge A Steak,” includes comments from Graves, who in addition to practicing law is an experienced cattle rancher.
In addition to the video, The Wall Street Journal covered the contest in a front page article, titled “Ranchers Play a High-Steaks Game for All the Marbling.” Relating the event to the American Royal’s barbecue contest, The Wall Street Journal reported that the steak competition “put the focus on the rancher rather than the pit master.”
As a member of the American Royal’s board of directors, Graves is a founder of the American Royal Steak Competition and served as chair of the second annual event, which is intended to provide beef producers from across the nation an opportunity to submit rib eye steaks to compete for the best tasting steak in America.
