Graves Garrett Greim adds Mueller to firm’s partnership

Graves Garrett Greim LLC (GGG) is pleased to announce Matt Mueller has been promoted to partner, effective March 1, 2026.

Mueller joined GGG as an associate in 2017 and now serves as a key asset in high-profile matters for the firm’s nationwide political, free speech, and election law practices, with a specific focus on contentious and consequential litigation. His practice includes both representing clients in proactively and strategically challenging government action and responding to investigations and litigation initiated by the government.

Mueller has extensive experience in litigating First Amendment and other constitutional rights.

In addition to his litigation practice, Mueller is part of the firm’s team that serves as outside general counsel to a number of groups, including a preeminent policy think tank, a Missouri based trade organization, many state and federal political action committees, and several 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) nonprofit organizations. For the last several years, he has also been responsible for GGG’s Summer Associate Program.

“Matt continually proves himself as indispensable to the work Graves Garrett Greim does on behalf of clients across the country,” GGG partner Eddie Greim said. “We have always been impressed with his ability to assess complicated legal questions and contribute to successful outcomes in unique practice areas that help set our firm apart from others. This well-deserved promotion affirms his central role in winning our biggest cases.”

Since 2023, Mueller earned distinction in Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers Rising Stars and Best Lawyers in America’s “Ones to Watch” with recognition in the areas of Government Relations Practice, Appellate Practice, and Regulatory Law. Missouri Lawyers Weekly named him an Up & Coming Lawyer honoree in 2021.

Mueller graduated from Truman State University, where he was named the Outstanding Undergraduate in Justice Systems. He later earned his law degree from the University of Missouri School of Law.
